We're excited to share an opportunity to step into a leadership role within the Engineering team as Squad Lead, Engineering – Automated Growth. As a Squad Lead, you'll combine hands-on development with team leadership, guiding a dedicated squad while continuing to contribute technically. This is a great fit for someone passionate about mentorship, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing:

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Support the growth of your squad through technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions while ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Tackle complex technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
  • Stay on top of emerging technologies and promote their adoption when they add value.

Squad Coordination & Facilitation

  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Work closely with your Product Owner to align priorities with business and customer impact.
  • Shield your team from distractions and ensure they have the focus and clarity to execute.
  • Proactively remove blockers and create space for deep work and collaboration.
  • Cultivate a psychologically safe environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute.
  • Collaborating with other squad leads to promote the adoption of improved processes and new technologies.

Planning & Delivery

  • Drive sprint planning and task breakdown with a focus on realistic and sustainable delivery.
  • Provide visibility into squad progress, highlighting risks and timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-team work and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Continuously reflect on and improve team processes and delivery practices.

Performance & Growth

  • Partner with your manager to provide thoughtful feedback and recognition to team members.
  • Identify skill gaps or learning needs and advocate for training or development opportunities.
  • Set the tone for the squad through your technical depth, proactive mindset, and commitment to our values.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven success delivering SaaS products in an agile environment.
  • Experience mentoring others and a desire to lead with empathy and clarity.
  • Strong technical background with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Clear, confident communication and the ability to navigate complex problem spaces.
